Fjord Trout, like salmon, is grown in the Atlantic Ocean, in the fjords of Norway. These trout grow in exceptionally clean and cold water , where the currents of the Atlantic Ocean and the fresh water of the Norwegian mountains mix. Fjord trout was the first fish to be farmed in Norway, so the farming tradition and quality are at the highest level over the years.
Since trout like cold water, they have to live deep. As a result, trout meat is fattier, has significantly more Omega-3 fatty acids and is extremely rich in Vitamin D.
